Rein For The Roses

Brookside Show Park in Elk Grove, California, is having a record year with great shows, terrific exhibitors, and a lot of fun enjoying planned activities each evening after showing days are over.

The Rein for the Roses show, held May 3-6, celebrated another successful venue for west coast reiners. It was the second Affiliate show for the West Coast Reining Horse Association, where exhibitors earn points towards WCRHA yearend awards.

The Perfect Match

Bailey Lundberg may not own the horse she shows, but it hasn’t stopped her from having huge success in just a short time! Currently a sophomore at San Marcos High School, Lundberg leases an 11-year-old, jet black 16 hand mare named Dress Me Elegant aka “ZZ”, from Jeff and Arlene Allen of Allen Quarter Horses. The pair hasn’t been showing together long, but it certainly looks like they are a match that’s meant to be!

Hashtags Wins Another

Hashtags, by Metallic Cat, reinforced his position as 2018’s leading 5/6-year-old open money earner on with a 224.5-point win worth $21,707, in the Breeders Invitational Classic/Challenge.

Shown by Tatum Rice for Hashtag Ventures LP, it was the 5-year-old stallion’s second win in 2018 (he also won the Bonanza 5/6 Open) and his sixth career win. Hashtags, winner of the 2017 NCHA Super Stakes and 2017’s leading 4-year-old money earner, has NCHA lifetime earnings of $336,694.
