Taliate, shown by Casey Green for Shannon Lamb, Lake Kiowa, Tex., claimed the PCCHA Core Balance Derby Classic-Challenge championship... and $11,000 with an unassailable 230 points. Reyning Cats, under Russ Westfall for Jerry and Suzanne Rava, Paso Robles, Calif., scored 227 for the reserve championship, while Ruby Rita and Grant Setnicka took third with 223 points for Robert Thigpen Jr., Chilton, Tex.
